You see diet fads right and left, sprawled across the internet, and most of them are like a falling star– nothing more than a bright flash of light and “hype” that diminishes quickly, never to be seen or enraptured again. You might remember some of these abominable fads, that all came with short-term and even worse, horrific long-term side effects, and ones you absolutely did not know about from the get go. Now recalling the alkaline diet, the military diet, the tapeworm diet, the baby food diet, the cookie diet, the cotton ball diet, the rando diet, the clay diet, and of course, the air diet.
How could anything have gone wrong?
The best diet for losing weight and keeping it off isn’t really a diet at all, but rather some key lifestyle and choice changes. You’re thinking the word “lifestyle” already sounds too difficult, but you would be wrong, because Health Basics Weight Loss 101 really only means eliminating a few major obstacles to your success, and replacing them with foods that are so delicious, if you close your eyes while eating them and pretend like you’re at a top-notch restaurant, you wouldn’t know the difference.
Plus, you don’t have to be a chef or watch some hour-long video to learn the best tricks of Weight Management 101, just finish reading this article and jump in “neck deep.”
The top weight gainers must go in the trash first. Processed sugar feeds weight gain and cancer like no other “food stuff” on the planet. Eliminate that and the unwanted pounds melt away right before your eyes.
Mother Nature's micronutrient secret: Organic Broccoli Sprout Capsules now available, delivering 280mg of high-density nutrition, including the extraordinary "sulforaphane" and "glucosinolate" nutrients found only in cruciferous healing foods. Every lot laboratory tested. See availability here.
Next comes canola oil, whether organic or not. This evil bastard-child of rapeseed oil is toxic and coagulates in human blood, leading to weight gain, memory loss, strokes, and dementia.
Then, drop the dairy products, at least for awhile. No animals on planet earth, except for humans, drink milk after infancy and from another animal. Weird, huh? All dairy products, regardless of whether they’re raw or organic, cause excess mucus and inflammation, so why bother. Most people don’t feel like exercising when they’re all achy, stopped up and congested. Think about that for a minute.
Lastly, nearly all gluten-laden foods in America are laced with toxic insecticides, chemical conditioners, and carcinogenic weed killer (think Roundup’s glyphosate here). These chemicals leech nutrients from your body and that means you become lazy, lethargic, and unmotivated to exercise.
Here’s your new secret way to not only lose weight and reach your ideal weight in the fastest, most healthy way possible, but to stay that weight for good. Hey, it’s not too good to be true, you just have to do it. This is when you stop taking advice from those mainstream media “consultants” who push products and diets that make them money from their advertisers, who are always corporations that profit off junk-science and genetically modified Franken-foods.
Here we go. If you’ve ever had the “best salad ever,” it was probably at some nice restaurant, maybe one that caters to vegetarians and vegans, and you weren’t sure why it was so damn tasty, but it was. That’s because they use fresh, organic vegetables, all chopped up very small, then tossed in some tasty oil-free dressing, and the best part… wait for it… wait for it… it was really cold.
Restaurant cold storage rooms are colder than our refrigerators at home, but not so cold that they freeze the produce. And when you toss the chopped salad in healthy dressing, like balsamic vinegar, all the greens especially get moist, and that’s the key. Who does this at home now? It’s a trick of the trade that often goes unrealized, yet it makes all the difference in the world between a “decent” salad and a phenomenal one.
Another “handful of tricks” (pun intended) includes adding in lots of those tiny, tasty, healthy treats you probably don’t usually purchase and chop or shred up, like diced radishes, currants, carrots, micro-greens, broccoli or alfalfa sprouts, mandarin oranges, dates, peeled and chopped apples, diced water chestnuts, raisins, Mediterranean olive medley, hemp seeds, shredded coconut, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, and chickpea crumbs (instead of croutons).
Processed sugar and processed oils are your nemesis, remember that. Nearly all snacks that most people eat after dinner and before bedtime are loaded with either GMO sugar (think HFCS) or hydrogenated oils, or both (think baked goods and chips here). If you simply must snack after dinner, switch over to raw, organic foods that come straight from nature and are unadulterated.
To give raw nuts extra flavor, you might use a little organic, raw coconut oil and some sea salt. Try also making smoothies with organic fruit and coconut water. So delicious. And finally, get into an exercise routine that’s fun. Download your favorite music and rock out to it while on that neighborhood jog, on the in-home treadmill, or while doing yoga on the mat in your den.
A simple 20-minute workout each day will do you wonders now that you’re kicking to the curb all that junk-science “food stuff” that’s kept you running into a brick wall with your weight loss goal.
